About Computer Applications

BCA is one of the fastest growing courses in with its demand increasing manifold in recent years. Living in a highly digitalized environment has heightened the demand for computer distance-educations with in-depth knowledge of the systems that are practically running the world today.

This 3-year course will equip you with all the necessary knowledge of a computer's operating system, software design, networking, programming and language. This course is tailor-made for a tech geek. You can even pursue a Masters in Computer Applications which would increase your chances of getting a high-paying job.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Passed 12th class (Science, commerce or arts) with a minimum of 40%
  • Some institutes do require mathematics as one of the subjects in your 12th class in order to be eligible for a BCA degree.

Average Fees:

Ranging between 30,000 to 1, 30,000 for the entire course.

Specializations

BCA doesn't have diverse options of specializations to choose from as the aforementioned courses as the general course itself covers all bases. Doing an MCA (which is covered in-depth later on in this article) after a BCA would be doing it the right way if you're planning on pursuing a certain discipline. However, you can specialize in Database systems or Animation and Multimedia if the institute does provide the option.
